Brother Chittenden was born in Farmington, New Mexico, but was raised in Albuquerque, where he attended school from the 1st through the 10th grades.

In the summer of 1961, he and his family moved from Albuquerque to Fort Bragg, California where he graduated from high school.  After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army where he served until April, 1975.  While in the Army, he served tours of duty in the United States, Germany, and in the Republic of Viet Nam.

After having been discharged from the U.S. Army, Brother Chittenden moved back to Farmington.  In June, 1976, he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized by the authority of the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.  On August 3, 1980, he surrendered to the Gospel Ministry and moved to Henderson, Texas and enrolled in the Texas Baptist Institute and Seminary.  In May, 1983, he graduated with a Bachelor of Theology degree.

Brother Chittenden has pastored churches in Texas and Oklahoma.   He accepted the call to pastor the Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church on February 24, 2008.
